MEET OUR PASTOR
Scott Suttle was born and raised in the small town of Swannanoa, North Carolina. He was saved at the age of eleven on a Friday night of Vacation Bible School in the summer of 1982. He later surrendered to the call to preach on May 7, 1986 at Vance Avenue Baptist Church, under the leadership of his pastor Ken Jenkins.
After graduating high school, he attended Tabernacle Baptist Bible College to further his knowledge of the Bible and ministry under the leadership of the late Dr. Harold Sightler. It was here that he met and married his wife Jennifer in 1993.

Scott and Jennifer then served as faithful church members at Maranatha Baptist Church, being of whatever help they could to their pastor. A few years later, they moved to Cleveland, Virginia where they served as assistant and youth pastor at Spring City Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Brent Logan.

In 2003, the Logan family went to Romania as missionaries, and Scott took the pastorate at Spring City Baptist Church. He became heavily involved in the community here, and ministered through children's programs, bus routes, school programs, county fairs, and even served as a deputy chaplain. He and Jennifer served here until 2013, when they too surrendered to spread the Gospel around the world as missionaries in Denmark.

After completing deputation, the Suttle family moved to Denmark and ministered there for five years, establishing Grace Baptist Church in the suburbs of the capital city of Copenhagen and planting the Gospel in the country.

In 2020, the Suttle family moved back to Greenville, South Carolina to assist in the ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joel Logan. Here he assisted in many ministries, a few including: youth programs, radio ministry, special services for the elderly, school trips and services.

In 2023, Scott served as an evangelist, preaching conferences and meetings across the nation, until moving to Lighthouse Baptist Church in March of 2024. Here, Scott and Jennifer work in close association with the previous Pastor Grady Gregory and his wife, in order to most effectively reach Cherokee county with the life changing message of the Gospel.

Scott and Jennifer have five children, all of which are closely involved with the ministries in their churches. Christina (28) married Caleb Weems, and serves as a pastor's wife in Duncan, South Carolina. Hannah (25) attended Bible college in Austin, Texas and now serves as an elementary school teacher at her church. Nathan (21) serves as a faithful member at his church in Liberty, South Carolina, assisting his Pastor in whatever way possible. Lydia (14) and Joanna (12) still live with their parents and help out whenever they can at Lighthouse Baptist Church.
